  • Detailing noob hoping to learn a lot

Hello all! While I've been washing, drying and waxing most of my life (incorrectly, no doubt) I'm completely new to the skill of detailing. My goal is to learn how to get and keep a mirror-like finish in my car's paint and avoid damaging it through ignorance. If anyone reads this and knows a good place for me to start reading/watching, please let me know!

    Thanks!

    Welcome!
You should find about anything you need to know right here, with a little bit of searching. A good start would be to visit the "Information Station" forum category for articles and videos on both products and techniques.

      Welcome,

I recommend checking out Larry from AMMONYC's videos on youtube.

He does a great job of breaking things down on technique and is very good at explaining things in an easy to understand way.

I'd also recommend video's that Mike Phillips from Autogeek has done as well.

I'd say don't hesitate to ask questions here, and don't rush out and buy lots of things that will most likely sit around and collect dust. Save your money, save your mind. Soon enough you'll be the envy of your neighborhood.

Welcome to mol. I also am trying to learn all the new products out there.
Best advice I can give you is read, read , read. Then commit to getting the products you think you will need.
Never be afraid to ask questions. That is how we all learned.
