    Hoe about Tap/sap remover?

For tar or sap, we typically will use an automotive specific "body solvent." These can be purchased from auto body supply or automotive paint supply stores. Glass Cleaner also tends to work if the tar or sap is not too bonded.

As for bug remover, our new Wash Plus+ which should be available for purchase soon is going to be great to have on hand for bugs. More information can be referenced at the following below link:

I like a wet fabric softener sheet for bugs.

I start with Megs D101 10:1 ratio and even go down to 3:1. If that does not clean then I will hit with goo-gone. Then touch up with Megs D156 to give some light protection. My $0.02 worth.

I also use 101 on stubborn bugs and that has worked well. On my car that is waxed well and washed regularly, usually they just come off with normal washing just fine. But when I do the in laws car that doesn't get washed as much and they live out in the country, so it is always covered in bugs, they can be on there good, just wet and spray on some 101 and they come right off. Not sure if 101 strips any wax or not.

I've used this technique on RV's and such...never thought of trying it on a painted surface.

Have you noticed any problems on painted vehicles?

Bill, I suggested dryer sheets to a friend. She didn't like them.....was using them dry....

Personally I like using Ultimate Wash and Wax Anywhere for bugs. Cleans and protects.

                David,

                Too funny!

I 'second' to use of UWWA. Talk about a product that works, this one does.

I've had really good luck with RainX bug and tar remover. I'm sorry if discussing another brand is forbidden. But I honestly didn't realize D101 was good for that. It's good to know for the future. Sometimes the RainX seems a little too aggressive.

For dried on bugs, I had some very good results with Nanolex Insect Remover (sorry, not a Megs product, but I got a sample of this once and must say I'm very happy with how it turned out)

No, just needs washed after. I can rub firm, but try not to grind then in.
