  • Replacement For D151 PRC

    Hey guys

Just finished off my last gallon of D151 and the local dealer tells me its discontinued so I'm looking for a replacement. I used it primarily for my contracts with a couple used car dealers who want the cars to look decent but not necessarily a show car finish. PRC was the first product my supplier gave me for this purpose and I gotta say I really loved the results I got with it. The dealers sold allot of white and silver cars so PRC with a rotary polisher on a red or yellow pad was my go-to one step system for those. If it was a darker color I'd use it on my MT300 with a red or yellow foam pad or sometimes even a MF cutting pad. I got a surprising amount of correction, decent protection in minimal time which allowed me and my boys to rip through 4-6 cars in a day easily.

I have the DAMF system and it works great but isn't as fast as D151 on the rotary. It also sometimes leaves an annoying haze on the softer Japanese clear coats that I have to fix with M205. I'd appreciated any suggestions you guys may have.

    Thanks allot.

    Hey Gamma,

If you would like I can get you in touch with our International Department to confirm this item is no longer available in your area. If you would like, send me a PM with your e-mail address.

Give white wax a try. Although I'm not sure how well it works with a rotary, for hand and DA application I would say the two are very similar products. Though if you are needing this in large quantities that won't help you much...

I thought about starting a new thread, but this thread may get the same result, and maybe I can help the original poster with his question.

Tell me your experience with these three products: D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream / D301 Finishing Wax / M66 Professional Quick Detailer AIO

For me, I started with D151, loved it, moved to D301 because I was buying the "Microfiber" packaging, and recently I'm curious about the older M66 (which I've never used). Aren't they all very similar? Maybe so close it's not worth bickering over?

D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream will offer much more cleaning ability than M66 Quick Detailer or D301 DA Microfiber Finishing Wax especially when D151 is used with a wool pad on a rotary machine for reconditioning purposes.

M66 Quick Detailer offers more cleaning ability or cut than D301 when used with a rotary or DA.

D301 offers the least amount of cleaning ability when comparing these three.

          Hope this helps!

Too bad your not more local! I have some and don't use it.

M66 is a great jeweling wax with the DA, never tried with the Rotary.....

M66 always finishes down beautifully for me. I can also get a balanced amount of surface enhancement with slower arm speed, and a polishing pad.
