I am needing to clean a dirty boat up before winter storage. I need a heavy vinyl cleaner. I have tried m57 that did a good job but still got some spots that need more attention. Any suggestions

Our M3916 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner is a dedicated vinyl cleaner without conditioning & does a great job for vinyl, colored plastic, or rubber surfaces. It is also available through many distributors which carry our Marine/RV Products.

We would recommend following up with the #57 Marine/RV Vinyl&Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner to condition & protect.

I will give that a try.. I am also woundering now about the outside of the boat. Very yellow from sitting in the water all summer. So many different products not sure which one is best. Using the scrub or just plain rv wash?

Our M77132 Marine/RV Heavy Duty Oxidation Scrub is really more for heavy oxidation, staining, rust, and mold. We would imagine using one of our Boat Washes like our M54 Gel Wash or M4364 Boat Wash followed by a good Cleaner Wax like our #M50 Marine/RV Cleaner Wax would work to remove yellowing from sitting in the water over a summer.

Hopefully I will be able to post some pictures soon to show what i have to work with. My biggest frustration working with meguires is all the same products but different names. You call out m50, woundering the difference is with m6132? Is this going to be achieved by hand? The litte color that it does have is fadded. Would i use m4416 too? So many products you have no clue what really works until you buy every single one of them and try? Need a chart to know what a guy needs

In the past, they have used an acid that takes the water scum from the summer off. Im really not sure what the acid is doing to the fiber glass so i wanted to see if we could be using something else.

Can you also post a wider angle picture of the boat which shows the overall condition so we can provide a more accurate recommendation? Are you working by hand or machine? If machine, what type of machine? Are you looking to get the best results or are you looking for quick & easy?

It also has some of this ulgy stuff going on.

Right now, I didnt plan on using machines but if I did, would the DA power system work on this? I would like to see the best results that i can come up with but dont have much expirence to get it done in a reasonable time frame. So Hope you will be able to give a answer with the pictures i have attached.

Better pictures would help definitely! Sorry I am just getting back to you now. There are really a couple different ways to look at this. If you would like an easy, one step process, our #M50 Marine/RV Cleaner Wax should deliver great results in an reasonable amount of time. If you are looking for the best results, we would typically suggest for a boat in this condition to first use our #M67 Marine/RV One Step Compound, followed by our #M63 Flagship Premium Marine Wax. The #67 contains aggressive cleaners to remove oxidation, but is also rich in polishing oils to restore gloss. Our #M63 Flagship Premium Marine Wax is currently our most premium marine wax, and utilizes a full synthetic, polymer based chemistry for great gloss & durability.

Any time you can use a machine like our DA Power System or our MT300 Dual Action Polisher, especially when trying to remove some stains & oxidation, a machine will greatly maximize the performance of the product. Our DA Power System will certainly outperform & be quicker than working by hand or a standard "steering wheel type orbital", but our MT300 Dual Action Polisher will be a big step up in efficiency & especially "cutting" or "cleaning" ability.

For any of the spots which are heavily stained & oxidized (hard to tell from pictures), you are also welcome to try our new M771 Heavy Duty Oxidation Scrub. It should work great as a preparation product to "knock down" some of the heavy defects.
