    Which orbital buffer would be more stronger one with 3600rpms or 4400rpms?

    Hi Ilovecleanercars,

    We might suggest checking out the below article. This gives a great overview of the different types of machines used for polishing paint. To answer your question, Random Orbital Buffers are measured in OPM's (oscillations per minute), not RPMS (rotations per minute). You would not want to use a rotary on paint which spins at 3600 or 4400 rpms. The highest speed we recommend when using a rotary polisher in 2000 rpms.

        Higher OPM's is one variable that can assist in defect removal when using a product like a paint cleaner, compound, or cleaner/polish.

          It came with 2 wool pads so should i use them with ultimate compound to remove deep scratches and scuffs? The paint is 22yrs old dark green infiniti but still has its clear coat on it.

              Hi Guys,

              I have some minor swirls/scratches on my Carbon Black Metallic BMW. Tried with hand, but results are not sufficient. Was thinking of getting traditional orbital buffer with constant 3100 rpm. I know that DA polsihers are better but the problem is that I can't get one in my country. Only Orbital buffers or rotary buffers are available. So, I am afraid of using rotary, but was wondering whether orbital buffer will do the job. I have meguiars ultimate compound and ultimate polish, plus ultimate wax. Do you think that it's worth trying? Will it remove those light scratches or is it just waste of time and money?

              The buffer looks like this one

                We might suggest looking into our DA Power System drill attachment. This attachment converts any rotary drill into a dual action, and utilizes our 4 Inch Soft Buff Foam Pads.

                  Thanks, I will try but does it mean that traditional orbital buffer won't do the job? I have some water spots and light swirls all over the car, mostly on the hood
