Hi, name is Mike, just purchased a 1930 model "A" rod. Age 68 and I need lots of help on how to care for the car. Excited to get started.

    Welcome, Mike!
Lots of good info to be had here. If you have any upcoming questions about finish care, it would be helpful if you knew what type of paint is on your "A".
Is it old single-stage lacquer or enamel, or is it a modern-day basecoat-clearcoat finish? Posting the answer will help you get better advice when the time comes.
BTW, there's a rule here that requires at least one picture of any cool hot rod. You won't find that rule written anywhere, as I just made it up.

          Bill,
Thanks for the welcome and responding. I am really a novice all of this. Reading a lot on just how the Forum works. As to the paint I believe it is modern day basecoat-clearcoat. This is a project car, steel with fiberglass fenders, crate 350, 350 tran. Paint job is really nice, red with ghost flames with a few imperfections. Overall she is a beauty and already a lot of fun. I will post a picture on my profile as soon as I figure it out. I can see this this will be a great source for info. Looking forward to the class
          Regards, Mike
