  • Finish Cloudy Where I Used ScratchX

I used scratchx on two spots by hand and now the finish is dull and cloudy. I applied coat of NXT wax and still cloudy. Would 205 help? I feel I made area worse than what it looked like w scratch. Thanks!

    Hi 15BlueChallenger,

What did you use to apply our ScratchX? Was this our Scratch X 2.0 version? Usually when we hear of someone having an issue applying our Scratch X 2.0 by hand it is often related to what the product is being applied with. Cotton Terry Cloth Towels, Microfiber Towels, and sometimes even microfiber applicator pads on certain darker paints can leave a bit of haze. This is often remedied by simply re-applying the product with a clean soft foam applicator pad like our X3070 Soft Foam Applicator Pad.

Thank you for the reply. I used a microfiber towel. Yes it was 2.0 version. I will re-apply with a foam applicator and see if it does the trick. Thanks again!

I did my entire black car with scratchx 2.0 and it came out unbelievably clear. Its like a black mirror now. It has some serious correction ability , I used a da polisher though with the proper pads maybe that made the diffrence

By hand, how long do you work the Scratch X 2.0 product into the painted surface for best results? I tend to use a erical/ hotizontal cross pattern, is this the best practice?
