  • Making D114 more viscous

Hello all. Newly registered but have been reading the forums for a while for great tips.

I was wondering if there was anyway to make D114 more viscous without impeding the cleaning ability?

I'm looking at this for bugs as well as wheels. It works great for GDWM at 1:128, but it runs off quickly and I would like to have more dwell time on problem areas.

I mixed up some 1:64 as a trial but still too watery.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

No real way to increase the viscosity of the product in any sort of controlled manner, sorry. Even undiluted its viscosity is basically the same as water, and it's not really conducive to foaming so putting into a foaming sprayer won't gain you a ton, either. For bug splatters on the front of the vehicle you may want to soak a towel in a typical 256:1 dilution (or stronger) and then lay the wet towel over the bug infested front of the vehicle and let it dwell for a bit. Obviously this is a no-go on the wheel wells, however.
