meguiar's W4003 foam backed wool pad

The fact that I needed a lot of cut and that I'm not a Pro made me think about the meguiar's W4003, that is a foam backed wool pad. I guess the fact that it is softer than the standard wool pads should forgive a lot of mistakes!

But do they cut with the same power? Are they good both for DA and for rotary?

rotary only for W4003! DA for meg's microfiber pads (DMF) for cutting/polishing. Depending on what you are trying to accomplish; M101/105 with DMF cutting pad will take out 2000 grit sandpaper, were as rotary with a wool pad for 1500 and below
