On Tuesday (you read that right - TUESDAY, NOT Thursday), March 15, 2016 we will be having a special Open Garage Session featuring Jessi Lang of Motor Trend's YouTube Channel (Wide Open Throttle, The J-Turn, etc) and we will be detailing her beloved Subaru WRX.
If you don't know Jessi, we're doing this special project to reciprocate all the positive vibes she's been sending on her Facebook and Twitter feeds since she started sharing her road to recovery following a devastating accident in an Audi R8 while filming a segment for Motor Trend in Germany back in the fall of 2013. We caught up with Jessi at SEMA back in November and offered this to her, and she jumped at the chance! Jessi posted the below video to YouTube a year after the accident, sharing not only what happened that day, but in the subsequent months following the accident (she is still in physical therapy, some 2 1/2 years later). In the video you get a sense of her love for her Suby, and that's part of what prompted this night. Jessi has also graciously agreed to talk to the group about this experience, and what it's like to make a living test driving cars (can you say "dream job"???).
So, during this Open Garage session we want to dedicate the evening to fully detailing her car, inside and out, rather than do the usual TNOG kind of thing. You'll get a chance to see and play wiht the new Mirror Bright line of products a bit as well, but we won't be bringing any other cars into the garage for spot repairs, headlight restoration, etc.
As per the usual TNOG program, we ask that you not arrive before 5:00PM and of course we will be serving pizza and sodas at the usual time. We'd love for as many of you as possible to help work on the car and just hang out with a bunch of detailing enthusiasts and car guys. We do have to limit attendance to 30 people, however, so get your name on the list quickly!
