  • Review - Ultimate Leather Balm

Here is the review on this product. It was asked in the thread as well as me getting PM's about it.

The product comes in a box.

    Front

    Rear

The contents of the box are the product and a foam applicator. The jar contains about 5 oz's of product. It may not seem like a lot but it really is a good amount as a little product goes a long way.

The product is similar to a soft paste wax consistency.

I don't have an image of the directions but it's pretty straight forward. Use the provided applicator and work into the leather. Follow with a light final wipe to remove any excess product. It also states that if more cleaning is needed, use a microfiber applicator.

I did a deep cleaning on my seats using D181 Leather Cleaner. So I did not test out the cleaning ability of the product.

A little product goes a long way. I worked into sections and applied more as I needed. I let the product sit on the front and rear seats for a few minutest before proceeding with a light buff to remove any excess product and to knock the shine down a bit.

It was overcast so the lighting is a little off.

    Here is a 50/50

    Close up

    Here is the completed area

This is a great product. It's ease of use makes it a pleasure to work with. The coconut scent is spot on. The scent just adds to the enjoyment of using it. As the photos show, it darkens the leather. It gave the leather a nice soft and supple feeling. A little product goes a long way.

Overall a great product and a great addition to the ultimate line. Pick some up and give it a try.

Ah, I see NO residue in the holes. To quote 'Martha', "That's a good thing."

    Thanx for doing this Michael.

Nice review! Looks like you beat me to it :P

Work has been killing all of my time lately. And Colorado weather hasn't helped either.

Thanks. One thing I noticed is that there was a slight hint of the balm scent the next day.

I didn't notice that, but the door cards I applied it to are just sitting in my garage, not in the car.

              Excellent reviews guys!

I am currently using Megs Leather Sealer Kit. And per directions, says this product only needs to be re-applied 2-3 times a year. Is there any estimation out in Megsland for how often the ULB will need to be re-applied?

Thank you, and have a great one!

I would probably say applying somewhere around every 6-8 weeks with this product.

Quick update. I refreshed it after 5 weeks.

Does it protect against sun exposure? I park mine outdoors 24/7, and while my apartment's space is covered, the office space isn't.

The new vehicle has a beige leather interior.

All I can say it does offer UV protection based on the what is stated on the box. Whether it does or not I can't say. That is a question for someone at Meguiar's to answer.

I saw it at Autozone along with the Mirror Bright line.
