So since you should apply sealant before wax, would using something like Meguiar's wash and wax screw it up? Should I opt for Meguiar's Gold class instead?

Re: Will a wash n wax combo ruin the surface to apply sealant?
The amount of wax in UWW is very minimal. I'm pretty sure the "wax" in it is a sealant anyway.
You'll be fine - it won't screw anything up. If anything, the durability of your proper wax / sealant will be very slightly compromised. If that's a concern to you, then go with GC wash / Hyper Wash / Shampoo Plus, or similar.Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
