Re: What is the best car wash soap that for sure wont strip away my hard work?
Any of Meguiar's car wash soaps is good. Gold Class is a forum favorite. Ultimate Wash & wax will leave a little wax behind to give one that freshly waxed look. They will strip wax.
To prevent water spots, don't wash in direct sun and don't let the soap dry on the paint. Dry with a waffle weave or plush microfiber drying towel.

If you are looking for over the counter, Gold Class can't be beat. If you want a great value, get something from the Megs Detailers line like D111 Shampoo Plus or even D110 Hyper Wash. I have been on the same gallon of Megs D111 for a year now. I wash my two cars multiple times a month and detail about 4 or 5 cars a year and wash at least that many of friends and family throughout the year when they stop by. They also work good in a foamer if you have one. For spotting, don't let the water dry on the car. I use a DP turbo dryer followed by a quick detailer or quick wax.2017 Lexus RX 350 - Satin Cashmere Metallic

We would agree with above responses that all of Meguiar's Car Washes are pH balanced, and are designed to not strip wax protection. Just remember to follow dilution recommendations also. All of Meguiar's Car Washes (except hyper wash) are 128:1, which is 1 ounce of car wash per gallon of water used in the bucket.Nick Winn

FWIW, I use D156, a.k.a. Ultimate Quik Wax, as a drying aid and sealant refresher after every wash. This restores the slickness and removes any potential for water spots. Since it doesn't dry white or streak, it can be used in about 10 minutes.Jim

Re: What is the best car wash soap that for sure wont strip away my hard work?
Last week, when I was searching for the best car wash soap on Amazon and I have found few lists. But, two are most popular. One is Meguiars and other is Chemical Guys soap. Now, I want to ask here what is the basic difference between them? I mean, Is it possible to identify the best car wash soap by checking their features only? I know Meguiars has lots of popularity; but I want some technical explanation that will help me to understand why it is good.
I dont want to use low quality soap/shampoo for my car.I want to know the effective guide about the car wash soap.
