I wonder what sealant was put on the car before you got? The mfg sealant? The adhesive used on the white temporary transport protective plastic film? The dealer wash'n'wax? The dealer detail?

The only way I've been able to repeat the blotchiness using ULW is if the paint surface is too warm; darker colors hold the heat way longer than lighter colors.

was gonna ask the same question...you might be fighting a battle with something thats already on the car...that washing did not remove

Liquid for me.

Makes machine application a breeze and the BIG thing is that the liquid does NOT leave the 'white uglys' on trim. In fact, I use UWL for all the plastic trim.
