  • Tornador?? Anyone here??

Just bought a Tornador. Piss poor directions on what solutions to use. What products and ratios do you use for carpet, upholstery, plastic panels, and engine detailing?? Newbbie here, so please forgive the "everyone knows" questions. I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for.

    Re: Tornador?? Anyone here??

    First off, welcome to MOL!

Second, Tornador isn't making any specific recommendations for product and dilutions because there are just so many possibilities. Plus, Tornador doesn't make any cleaning liquids (that I know of, at least) so they don't have a specific product to use.

Most commonly used products in our line up are either D101 APC or D108 Super Degreaser. We recommend staying with our recommended dilution ratios - 4:1 for heavy cleaning needs, 10:1 for general purpose use. If you pick up a Tornador with the foaming head you'll love D108 for engine cleaning. It comes out like shaving cream and you can almost fill the engine bay with foam, if you're so inclined. But the standard Tornador with the brush on the end and the 1 quart canister is great for cleaning door jambs, carpets, upholstery, etc with D101.

A very important consideration when using this tool with any cleaning product is that it atomizes the cleaning solution, so you really want to wear a mask of some sort to avoid breathing it all in. We really can't stress this enough as the atomized material can fill the air and you'll really notice it if you breathe it in. Masks are widely available and cheap.... don't neglect this!
