Rain threatened and the class was small this time around, but the results these guys got on the demo vehicle chose were just amazing!

That's a whole lot of black truck to work on!

Yikes!! Plenty of swirls, but also more than enough deeper straight line scratches to keep you busy, too!!

We did our usual side by side testing of the Ultimate Trio (Compound, Polish, Wax) on foam discs next to the DA Microfiber Correction System. On this paint, as bad as it looked, both processes removed the swirls very quickly, but the paint was soft enough that the DAMF System created a bit more haze. It wasn't all that bad, mind you, and a quick second pass with Ultimate Polish on foam would have removed it quickly, but why go that aggressive when a less aggressive process yields the same correction without the haze? Now, those deeper straight line scratches needed a second pass, with a bit more tool speed and a bit more pressure, but even they came out pretty easily.

Here's the result of our test spot using Ultimate Compound on a DFC5 foam cutting disc followed by Ultimate Polish on a DFP5 foam polishing disc. Massive improvement, accomplished with ease! We even took a series of paint thickness readings on both sides, before and after, to demonstrate how non invasive this process is. Average readings after 10 reference points on both sides showed virtually no change in paint thickness. But visually, the change is stunning.

Time to pull to pull out a few more MT300 polishers and put some folks to work on the hood!

Nice technique on the narrow leading edge section of the hood!

Move to yellow polishing discs to finish off with Ultimate Polish.

Swirls no more, thanks to a very quickly acquired skill set!

It was a lot of fun and very educational, I didn't want it to be over yet to be honest. Mike is a cool guy and I think he should get a raise! Thanks!
