  • I LOVE Ultimate Quik Detailer + Q about UQW

Even though I don't USE it as a quick detailer, rather as a drying aid. I just washed my car to get the inch of pollen of the paint and like I have done for the last several washes, I sprayed UQD onto the wet car before wiping it with my microfiber drying cloth. Not only does the UQD let the cloth absorb more water, any water not picked up by the cloth (not that there's very much at all) evaporates without leaving spots or streaks. Even in the hot sun (I dry from the top down, sunny sides first) with the temps in the high 70s, low 80s. And I love the way the car looks 'just waxed' when I'm done. People don't believe me when I tell them that all I did was wash the car.

Now the question about Ultimate Quik Wax. Can I use it as a drying aid like I do the UQD? Or is mixing water with the UQW not a good idea?

You can use it as a drying aid. Lots of us do. You will like that even more than UQD as a drying aid.

      Agreed^^^^^^
Uqw is way better than uqd as a drying aid cuz ur getting that added protection. I only use uqd when I need a quick wipe down.

I still have a bottle of UQD from 2 years ago I use for little odd refinements.
I graduated to UQW for every wash as a drying aid, including no rinses. It works so amazing I ordered 2 gallons of D156 with confidence and was not dissapointed.
I use it on everything, paint, glass, wheels and tires. Absolute must have.

I love UQW as a drying aid. Never used UQD in that way...

It's awesome, I meant to hose the car down tonight (I just washed it this morning) and give the Ult Quik Wax as a drying agent, but didn't get the chance

One more Q, can the D156 be diluted, or is it meant to be used straight.

It's meant to be used straight, but I don't think diluting it a little bit would hurt.

I mean, when using it as a drying aid, you are effectively diluting it, and it still seems to work really well.

I think I'll add a gallon of D156 to my next order along with the M101 ... as soon as the finances let me.

                    You will love both investments.

M101 is like big horsepower, you may not use it all the time but sure comes in handy when you need it.

D156..... you'll love it whether you use it as a maintenance wax or a drying aid. Well, truth be told, using it as a drying aid is using it as a maintenance wax! So easy to use - no streaking and crazy slick. Plus it's amazingly durable for a spray wax.

Will you get the same protection from UQW when using as a drying aid as when using it on a dry clean car?

And which is best for a finishing touch on a clean car, UQW or UQD?

I know I've posted this pic a few times before but D156 is in my top 5 products in my entire detailing arsenal. I especially like using it as a drying aid when doing a rinseless with D114. Always keep a gallon on hand and a small 4oz bottle in my backpack to keep my computer and tablet screens clean and slick.

What size are those Bentleys? and tires?

                            Is that car ever dirty

In theory, you are watering down UQW when using it as a dying aid, so you won't get quite the same protection. But in practice, I can barely tell the difference in slickness or durability between doing it that way or just using it on a clean, dry car.

If the car is clean and dry, you can use either UQW or UQD, though UQW will give better protection. If the car is slightly dusty, use UQD.
