  • RV Waxing

    Hi
Anyone have any thoughts on waxing a motor home, fibre glass grey and black. The 4 part process will be very time consuming. Thanks Jim

#66 quick detailer and top with #21.....or #66 by itself, or #20 by itself if in good shape. A rotary would make things alot faster. #66 is a decently strong cleaner wax, and has a very good price.

^^^^ I agree with 97 t- bird an AIO would be a good way to go. You could top what ever you use with a quick wax too for a little more protection.

What kind of condition is it in, and what are you trying to achieve?

An AIO is a good suggestion.

Personally, I'd use D151, then top with UQW if or as needed.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Good points here. You could even substitute white wax if you can't get D151.

Is white wax the retail version of D 151?

Hi again. Don't mean to sound foolish, but what are #66, #21 and D151? There are some lite swirl marks that show in black area that are greatly reduced using Meguires Wash and Wax their waterless wash product. I was looking at Meguires Onestep Cleaner Wax and Meguires Flagship Premium Cleaner/Wax on their web site. Any thoughts. Thanks Jim

If the finish is in fairly decent shape, then M66 can be a great choice. Following up with a quick once over using D156 Synthetic Express Spray Wax will add some great polymer protection in a simple mist and wipe process.

This is a great step up if the finish is a bit more aged/oxidized/swirled and you need a bit more punch.

No, White Wax is a very different animal and, quite frankly, probably even more aggressive (it uses the same abrasives found in M101, after all!!). It's nowhere near as economical, of course, but it is pretty killer stuff nonetheless.
