The soft buff 2.0 pads is what I assume he order. will work great with the da as I know u know that as ur one of the top guys around here. Just keep ur pad clean as u work with ur pad cleaner and change ur pad out for a new one as needed. Typically 4 or 5 r used per car. So 1 for front of car and hood, 1 for each side, 1 for top, 1 for trunk or u call boot and rear of car. And u will b just fine. Remember meguiars recommends their soft buff 2.0 with their g110v2.

      Christmas Presents!!!

Things arrived!! The smaller pads are nowhere to be found. Will keep that for next order when I'm browsing e-bay.

So far the pad brushes are ready. Forgot to add-on that I have Gold Class shampoo with me all these while too. I have grown accustomed to the way it feels. So won't change the car shampoo. Can't wait to finish work and start on detailing.

Good luck mate. As u continue to grow ur invetory I suggest u add some more supreme shine towels along with a few ultimate wipes. And as ur getting hooked like the rest of us u might want to think about the detailer line in the future. Not now but as u get into it more. Also I suggest in the future also u look into nanoskin autoscrubber. Saves time when claying and alot easier.

But ur into a great start. As I always do welcome to ur new addiction. We are all OCD detailing addicts and u will b too. Hope everything goes well for u today.

            Cheers!!!

Great start and nice selection of products!

Like Jarhead mentioned Meguiars Supreme Shine Micro Fiber towels, (sometimes you can get them in bulk 36 to a case) also I think you do need to get a gallon of D101 APC All Purpose Cleaner and 2 of the APC 32oz bottles for the 10:1 & 4:1 dilution ratio's. Some fantastic cleaner as well for alittle bit of everything from Exterior to Interior surfaces.

Also notice you don't have any White Wax (offer's more cleaning ability) & the Black Wax (offer's more polishing oils) and you can use these two great products on any color of paint. Michael Stoops has a awesome thread on here has well has a video showing before & after and I also have a post as well using the white wax on a white neglected enclosed trailer with some before and after pictures.

I don't know if I over looked it or not but didn't see any Ultimate Polish! I would follow up with the ultimate polish (UP) after the Ultimate Compound (UC). One more then I would like to add is that it's best to use 3 or 4 pads for your cleaning step and use a foam pad brush (which I didn't see) and also some good quality thick terry towels for cleaning your pad on the fly) Keeping your foam pads clean is VERY IMPORTANT!! It's a factor in between a good job or a great job! I use a brush/cleaning on the fly/universal pad washer along with a few sprays of Meguiars foam pad cleaner along with switching out my pads on the cleaning steps, and on average use 3 polishing pads or cutting pads depending on condition of paint and what I'm after. It also helps keep your pads in better shape/condition longer which is cheaper for you in the long run.

                  Re: Getting my Inventory right

Thanks Daniel for the advice, I do have the brush back at home. As for the APC I don't have any access to it in Malaysia, so am stuck with the APC from soft 99, which work well in my opinion. There's UP in the picture, so no worries, I've got the whole Ultimate series covered from UC to UP to UW. The UP is in the box in between UC and UW btw.

After the first try 2 nights ago, I'm really impressed!! With my first time with the DA I would say it does very well! swirls are literally gone and I'm just left with RIDS which I'll try to work it off this weekend. With just 4 hours, I washed down the whole car using Gold Class shampoo, then clayed the left part of the hood followed with a wipe down and do some comparisons with my fingertips. Gotta say there's huge difference!

After that I proceed to use my virgin DA on the clayed part going thru 3 times with proper overlapping at speed 5. After I wipe down the residue, behold! The beauty! The tree sap trails are gone! I'm left with a clean glossy left panel! A quick run down using LED torch shows that all swirls are gone and just some leftover RIDS which I believe is still there due to my technique (too fast of hand passing speed I would agree). I spend the next 3 hours doing the rest of the car from the right of the hood down to the side fenders, then the doors to the back quarter panels finally the engine hood and down the back bumper. All divided into small panels of 18 inch by 18 inch.

I left out the front bumper on purpose due to the nature of the shape as well as the complex front grill with black trim and decided to work with hand from there. Working late into the night with no proper garage also gives me problem as I don't wanna wake my neighbours up. So after thorough inspection I'm quite happy with the results! As I don't see the need to go over using UP I fire up the work again using hands this time as its 3AM in the morning spreading UW over the whole car. After which I start cleaning up the mess I made clearing the hoses, putting my DA foams aside, clean off the soapy buckets and used applicators and set aside. Grab a cold beer gulp it down, had a smoke and try the "swipe" test to make sure the wax is ready.

I wiped off the wax using clean MF cloths and at the same time admiring my reflections off the car's body panel. :P
Once all cleaned, stepped aside had a long time there looking at the beauty and going thru 2 or 3 cigs congratulating myself.

I must say overall I am very very pleased with the products. Whatever that can't be removed is due to my technique, I still remember while I popped open all the products one by one I was greeted by all those yummy smell (gotta store em high on shelves to avoid kids mistaking em for bubble gum). Well, I've give it my all that night and I'm happy with it, whatever leftovers that cannot be removed is technique problem, so that would be done this weekend after the same make car show.

For ratings I'm giving 9/10 for all the products. Really fell in love with em. Even working using hands it is still very very friendly towards the elbow grease. Pictures will come soon when I got the time to snap some later on.

Thanks to all who give me plenty of advice, on the fly i prefer to clean my pads on the terry towels. I find it a bit hard to grab hold of the DA if I am to use the brush. Nevertheless some more MF and pads are on my to-buy list next.

                  Cheers!!!!

                    Re: Getting my Inventory right

Gotta say I absolutely love it when I'm out over the weekend (and this past weekend I truly was out at an event in Northern California from Friday through Monday) and the community steps in to help a new guy, and that new guy gets fantastic results the first time out with a new G110v2 buffer. Great stuff guys, and thanks for being so awesome!!

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
