  • 2011 GMC Denali Detail

Decided to post a thread for the first time of a detail. Some good ol' brotherly bonding time over detailing his GMC Denali.

    Products used:
    Clay bar
Ultimate Compound with Microfiber Finishing pad and Yellow Foam pad (each of us had a different pad compounding)
M205 with rotary black foam pad
    M21 Synthetic Sealant
    D156 Spray wax
    Ultimate black for black trims

I couldn't get great pic's from today's overcast skies, especially before pics. Enjoy!

Looks awesome bud! Were the headlights in good shape to begin with? Or did you polish them out too?

That's interesting you noticed, I did polish it with M205 on black pad with the rotary. A quick few passes resulted with BIG results; highly recommended if you have a rotary.

Here are some pics today with good sunlight.

Before polishing the taillights, at an angle view of the lights you looking through the double lens was minimal cloudy until they were polished and it was crystal clear as if there is no lens cover. They were not bad at all before giving them some attention, however after doing one side for fun it was a must to do the rest!

UPDATE: Till this day the car hasn't need to be washed with minimal dirt marks on the car. It has been untouched ever since I finished the car. Today with the sporadic heavy rain, the car dried spotless! Only the tailgate was dirty from the road back splash, other than that its spotless!

Nice work...... love that you're finishing out these projects with M205 via rotary at very low speeds!!

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.
