I used D114 from a spray bottle and a clean microfiber towel to clean step 1 off. I hope that's ok.. Seemed to work fine.

Is this product intended or the hard polymer lenses or glass or what? I have Porsches and on a 14 yr old vehicle the lenses are not glass.
The current condition is not yellow or foggy.....but rather is slightly abraded and no clear in areas.......wondering on the suitability of the Perfect Clarity 2 step.

I posted my picture a page back and have a question. I bought the kit and just finished up. After applying the paste and buffing it off, the weird oxidation looked pretty much the same. I sprayed the UV coat and it instantly got a lot better. After applying the 2nd coat it looked even better still. Now the actual clarity of my headlight looks 95% better, but I'm still seeing the oxidation spots, not nearly as bad though. I'm wondering if I just didn't scrub enough. Since I'm not exactly sure even what the spots are I don't know if they can ever come out. I will post an update picture later, but my question is. Let's say I want to re-do this process from the start. What's the best way to strip the UV layer so I can start over? I'm VERY HAPPY with the results amazed even, but the OCD detailer in me is king of wiggin out when I look at them at the right angle and see the spots still there. Dunno if I can ever get them 100% removed, or at least to an unnoticeable level but I want to try. I noticed a few posts back someone mentioning IPA + sand paper, what grit should I use? I have Menzerna's Top Inspector which should work well as an IPA. Need to go get some sand paper though

To anyone reading this, this kit is so easy to use, buffing the paste off with a MF towel was probably the most involved spot. Dunno if I used too much or waited too long, but I ended up after a few minutes using a damn MF to get to remaining solution off.

It could be that you didn't clean long enough to remove all the oxidation before spraying the coating. There are times when you need to get really aggressive to correct a lens, sometimes starting as aggressive as 320 grit sand paper and working up from there. This kit is roughly equivalent to 800~1000 grit sanding so it's not super aggressive. If you want/need to start over, then 1000 grit sand paper should remove this coating, or a coarser grit to remove it and continue cutting into the remaining oxidation. Regardless how aggressive you need to sand, either finish off with the cleaning liquid and scuff pad or 1000 grit sand paper before spraying the coating.

I love the results I got with this kit... I have done 2 sets of lights and have some clear coat and abrasive liquid left over, but the sanding pads are gone (used a da with a 3" backing plate and interface pad).

What color scotch brite pad can I use with this system so I don't waste the leftover product?

You should use the grey Scotch Brite pad. Amazon sells them in packs of 10 or 20.... just search their site for grey Scotch Brite and they'll come up.

First of all, I have to say that I'm absolutely amazed and thrilled with this product! I only wish the UV spray was sold separately.

My question is: how long should I advise my customers to wait before driving after completing the restoration? And also, how long does it need to dry before it's safe to get wet?

Hello, I don't know if anyone is still monitoring this thread. I tried your product over the weekend and had a couple issues. The first time I applied the Coating the headlights ended up having a couple of visible lines across them where I sprayed unevenly. I assumed I used too much so the next day I started over and sprayed less than half the amount of the first attempt. I don't have the lines anymore but the coating still didn't go on as smoothly as I hoped. At the bottom of each headlight there are areas where the coating looks wet almost like it was splashed on. The headlights look great compared to before but I am a bit of a perfectionist. Does anyone have some tips on how to spray the coating better? The only other annoying thing is when I removed the coating after the first attempt I think it scratched up the headlight a bit. It's not noticeable after applying the spray but I'm assuming I would have to sand to remove those marks.

Haven't posted on the forums a while. To be honest, my detailing has been rather lacking the last year-18 months due to relocating to the rural and having a gravel road to drive on daily. Even our 'pride and joy' car, due to still being a daily driver is impossible to keep clean, and depressingly has suffered more stone chips the last few months than ever before. (Really annoying when you consider the front kit had a total repaint a few months ago)

However, because we have a club show to go to tomorrow, I've been spending the last week dishing out some TLC, and while we were in the city today, called in to one of the auto shops that stocks lots of Megs. Saw this product in person for the first time, so knowing that the driver's headlight now looks really bad (yellow, stained, and cloudy in places) I thought I'd give it a try. TBH, I've always been reluctant to use headlight products. Have heard of people causing damage they regret. And microscratches stand out on a lense more obviously than on paint.... But wow, I'm blown away just how much better the lights now look. I wish I took before photos.

worked like a charm for my parent's 2003 Chrysler Town and Country with 250k miles on it that has been parked outside all its life in Michigan's brutal winter, never did anything to the headlights before, and they look a lot better.
