I have a half full bottle of #80 Speed Glaze, probably six years old. Haven't used it since Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Polish became available. Just had a partial repaint of my wife's truck and need a little protection from water spotting, etc. After a good shaking, the stuff in the bottle still pours. Think it is OK to use?

Re: Old #80 Speed Glaze
#80 is one of the older products that seems to be heavily oil-based. Don't know the chemistry behind it, but products like M02, M03, M04, M07, M09 and M80 seem to have an indefinite shelf life if not exposed to freezing temps in my experience. I wouldn't be afraid at all to use it once it's thoroughly mixed. It may be old-tech, but it's still good stuff, a staple of my single-stage paint resto projects.

Re: Old #80 Speed Glaze
The bottle I have is probably almost that exact same age (and almost empty now too) I still use it when I'm dealing with SS paints it still works just as good as when I got it. If it hasn't been exposed to extreme elements, it should still be good. Good luck with it!

Re: Old #80 Speed Glaze
If after a good shake it comes out of the bottle in a smooth, creamy consistency like you know it should and there's no horrible smell coming from the bottle, it's good to go.Michael Stoops
