    Re: M101&100

Many have used M100 and M101 with MF pads with great success. Especially good for heavy defect removal.

M100 was originally designed to be used with a rotary and wool pad, while M101 was designed for a rotary with a foam pad.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

I have used M101 with MF cutting pads. It does dust more than with foam. At least that was my experience.

While both were designed with very specific target markets in mind, both also work extremely well when used on microfiber pads with a DA. As The Guz points out, M101 will dust more with microfiber pads than it does with foam pads on a rotary, but it cuts very quickly and leaves a great finish. M100 will dust less, will be just marginally slower to cut (but still extremely fast - remember, speed is relative!!!) while leaving a very nice finish, too, especially on harder paints.

M101 works great with a MF cutting pad and when used with the Rupes 21- it's a deadly combination. It does dust a ton though. I usually have to re wash a car after going this route because of all the dust, so I only use it when 105 doesn't cut it.

That is great information. I would like to ask this:
I read in another thread that Rupes 21 & M100 with MF finishing pad will leave darn finish even on soft paint which it will be ready to wax, sealant or coating. The question I have how that comb works with Meg DA which the throw is 8mm any one of you guys did try it.

It's hard to say without actually trying it on a test spot first. All paints respond differently...
