  • best combo for polar silver

Hi, I have many Meguiar's product, and I would the best shine for a 2003 porsche996turbo polar silver, with very good paint

I Have NXT paste wax, Nxt liquid wax. ColorX, polish 205, Ultimate liquid wax, Ultimate quick detailer, Gold Class liquid wax, White wax

    I would try these combos:

ColorX followed by NXT liquid or paste or

    ColorX topped with UW

205 followed by Ultimate Wax or

    205 topped with NXT

White Wax topped with NXT or

    White wax topped wit UW

I'm confused and I would know, if it's possible the best combo for this color...thank you very much

I would say to compound if needed and then 205 then Ultimate wax or NXT wax and 12 hours later follow up with a second coat of the same wax used before.

Are you working strictly by hand or with a DA buffer? A DA will get you better results in the long run that you'll see by hand, especially when it comes to defect removal and finish polishing. As
Bob mentioned above, the best results will come from compounding first if need be (and claying before that if the finish calls for it) and then finishing polish with M205 on a foam finishing pad. It's all this prep work that really creates the gloss and clarity in the finish, and M205 is a bit of a super star when it comes to maximizing that potential. The wax you choose to finish it all off is going to be rather subjective, but we go with one of the synthetics (NXT or Ultimate) to give a bright, crisp shine on this silver paint.

Michael brings up a great question on whether you are going to do this by hand or by DA polisher. It also comes down to how much time you want to invest. Dedicated products for a specific task net better results than an all in one. I would agree with what has been stated up above as far as which combo to go with.

thanks for your answers (and sorry for my bad English)...I have always and I'm working by hand...the paint is very good. with minimal defects, so,I think to try 205 followed by NXT (reading here, in the forum, NXT seems to do a better results on light metallic paints, and that polar silver, is a very difficult color to bright effect) thank you very ,much
