You can and should wax right after you're done applying #7. But don't rush the glaze step. Take your time as you may see deeper gloss the more you polish it out. I did 5 applications in those pics there.. IMO it got better each time until it was just about "show car glaze" status.

People are saying to remove it while its still wet. Within 1-2 minutes of applying it?


What consists of correction? Meaning do you strip all the wax you have off and start over?

Remove #7 right after you're done applying it. When they say within 1-2 minutes they just mean that you should begin the process of wiping it off within 2min. so it doesn't begin to dry on your paint and become a bear to remove. Keep in mind however, this glaze may not be as big a hassle as people make it out to be.. But compared to "perfect" conditions while removing UC, it won't wipe off just that easy. You'll get a feel for it right away though.. It's a bit grabby at 1st. Almost sort of like if you were wiping Elmers glue off your paint but nowhere near that bad.

Correction meaning you've got your finish to the point of your ideal satisfaction. It sounds like you've gone through the correct steps and your picture looks pretty good. If your paint looks awesome in your opinion while inspecting it direct sunlight, you've corrected your paint. As long as you properly maintain [wash & dry the proper way] your truck, you may not have to correct/compound your truck for a very long time to come. Set your goal at never having to correct your paint again

To answer your question specificly, no you do not have to start the process over from scratch. [unless there are defects/swirls you'd like to eliminate compound away.] From the looks of it you should be set to polish & wax from here. Just make sure you wash/dry the panel before you begin polishing. But you already know that

is the 135 better then the quik detailer?

It's not necessarily better. It comes down to what you want from a QD. If you want just a basic QD then stick with something like M34, D155, Quik detailer, Gold Class Quik detailer. If you want a QD that "boosts" your existing wax and leaves the surface very hydrophobic then stick with M135/Ultimate Quik Detailer.

Well said here. Follow the directions on the bottle and you are good. As I said be sure to have plenty of MF towels on hand. Try it on the fender first and so you can get a feel for it.

Again well said. The typical 5 step correction is

1. Wash
2. Clay.
3. Compound
4. Polish
5. wax

It's recommended you do a test spot with the least aggressive product and see how the paint responds. Sometimes a polish is all you need. GM cars typically have hard clear coat so it's not uncommon to use a compound. Once you compound one time and you practice good maintenance techniques (washing, drying, etc....) then all you may need is a polish for your next correction process. For those deeper defects you could always compound. If you don't already have a DA polisher you should definitely invest in one. Results by machine are always better than by hand.

Polish meaning a product such as ultimate polish, M205, M7 and a few others. M7 is actually a pure polish that has no correcting ability or protction. It is pure polishing oils. M21 is a synthetic wax so that falls under step 5. Do all steps need to be done? Possibly. A test spot can tell you a lot of things and you4 5 step could become a 3 step or even a 2 step if you choose to use a cleaner wax such as white wax that does all three things in one product. Base your steps by the amount of time you want to spend.

Sounds good. One thing to add is to wait 12 hours to before applying anything over M21 so that it can cure and bond to the paint.
