  • MEGW8000 vs w8000 and MEGW9000 vs w9000??

i see these listed under both these part numbers? what is the difference? does the MEGW8000 come with 2 pads vs 1 for the W8000? all the pics i see of the megw8000 show 2 pads where the w8000 shows just one? same for the 9000 and wool pads?

i bought a couple singles but if i can buy a dual pack i would much rather do that. thanks!

      Hi Zfactor,

      Sorry for the delay here.

Not sure where you are seeing those part#'s, but they should be the exact same pad ? I think you are seeing just a way to "showcase" the front and the back of the pad in those shots, but typically they are sold as eaches unless noted by the store.

In addition, have you seen our Soft Buff 2.0 pads, as in the W8207 and W9207 ? They have some great advantages over our 8000, 9000 series foam pads ?

hey no problem. i figured it was just the label but was not sure. none of my normal sources carry the 8201 or 9207 in stock and they are 7" my back plate is a 8" i usually use my my rotary. do they have 8" 2.0 pads?

There are no 8" 2.0 pads, but keep in mind, the Soft Buff 2.0 line of pads work great on a rotary with the correct backing plate (W68). In addition, The 2.0 pads are washable, self centering, and the W9207 is a actually better finishing pad overall then the W9000.

          Just some food for thought.

interesting. i got these so cheap (they were discounted i think just under 10$ per pad) not to worried. next time i buy them ill try out the 2.0 versions. grabbed some ultimate paste and liquid when i got them also.
