  • d-156 synthetic express spary wax

Wondering how this holds up as far as durability. Also can apply multiple coats on right after another for better durability? Does it give a good depth and gloss? How does it do on darker colored vehicles? Im trying to find a larger quanity spray wax comparable to ultimate wax. Oh and to how easy does this apply.

It's the most durable spray wax that Meguiars offer, and one of the most durable on the market.

Not sure if multiple coats will give you any benefit, especially right after each other. If anything, you'd need to wait 12 hours or so for the first coat to cure.

    Excellent depth and gloss
Awesome on darker vehicles - I find it noticably darkens the paint
    Extremely easy to apply

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Ultimate paste wax is more durable. Durability varies depending on the users location and environment. It's a great partnership for ultimate wax.

No, it's not a detail spray at all. It is not to be used in any way to remove dust or dirt, a detailer is for that. This applies a mild sealant and adds an extremely slick as well as deep/wet looking finish. It is most commonly used as a booster product after using a product like the ultimate paste or Ultimate liquid. It can be used as a primary sealant if it is reapplied every 2-3 weeks. It will make a sealed/waxed finish and bead like you just spent 2 hours sealing/waxing but will not last like the ultimate wax product.

It absolutely will give you the just waxed look and feel with a 15 minute application on a cleaned car.

If you do a normal periodic wash, follow with this to always have that insane shine, depth and water shedding property that many of us desire.

If the car is dusty or dirty, you will need the detail spray or water/waterless wash to allow you to clean the finish before you use this.

This product allows you to very quickly restore the finish to that just detailed/sealed look and feel and allows you to do this in minutes.

Ok so this will add more of a wet look shine then just the wax will. So this would be a good thing to offer for like an extra ten bucks after the normal ulitmate wax. This to be used to give it a more wet look.

I would also stock a few retail bottles of the Ultimate quick wax and MF Towles and try to up sell the customer a bottle and towel for their post wash maintenance to extend their time with that deep/wet just detailed look. Or poor your D-156 into an unmarked bottle and do the same but don't let them fully know what they are using.

That sort of depends on what kind of profit you're looking to make. A gallon of D156 is going to cost you roughly $35 once you include tax, shipping (if applicable) etc. If you pour it off into 32 ounce bottles you'll get 4 bottles and, at your $10 suggestion, $5 profit. Now, take into consideration the cost of the 4 spray bottles and sprayers and you're going to lose a couple of dollars. D156 is essentially Ultimate Quik Wax Spray, which retails for $10 for 16 ounces, or double what you're looking to charge. You do the math and figure out what makes the most sense to you from both a cost/profit perspective and a customer service perspective.

156 is just about the best wax on the market today.
                        spray and wipe
lasts longer then anything out there.
I charge full price no matter what wax I'm using.

I personally have taken out the D156 from my routine as I do not find it profitable.

I now have it where I use real paste/liquid wax
