Hello. Does Meguiars Deep Crystal Step 1 clean paint from old polish paste and old waxes? If not which product you suggest? Thanks

Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner is a chemical cleaner so, while it may struggle to remove any real swirls and other defects, it will pretty effectively strip old polishing oils and waxes. If you are thinking of using it as a prewax cleaner, it's a great choice.

Thank you for advice. I'm asking because guys from Meguiars_CZ told me that they have only Super degreaser for this purpose and that they don't have anything for non professional users.

There are other products that can do multiple steps, such as SwirlX or Ult. Polish that are cleaner/polishes, and can remove the old wax/dirt, and apply the polishing oils.

Or something like Ult. Compound if you were needing to remove defects.

Or one of the cleaner/waxes.

So maybe you can mention some more of what you have available, and need to work on with your cars, you may get some more options as well.

Does it mean that Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner is only chemical cleaner no abrasives inside? I'm asking because on Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax bottle is written that Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner removes also swirls.
