What's the condition of the paint at this point? A lot of orange peel or are the reflections just not quite as clear as you'd like? Orange peel is going to require wet sanding to remove, followed by compounding to remove the sanding marks. If the paint looks fairly free of orange peel but just doesn't look as crisp as it should, then a good compounding alone should brighten it up. Have you ever used a rotary buffer or done any wet sanding? Both are pretty advanced processes that can bite you hard and fast if you don't know what you're doing. But our DA Microfiber System could be a great alternative to a rotary in your situation.

I have more of a zebra effect from the clear coat every coat it gets better. I went from 1500 wet sanding to 2000 then 3000. Would a compound help with the zebra effect or should I keep working on it?

I don't think so, you have to sand it until it's flat. Flatness is the definition of what makes a something reflect.
