Re: ultimate polish and ultimate compound with rotary

As you point out, neither product is really rated for rotary work so we don't officially recommend them for use that way. That said, we do know several people who have used UC via rotary with excellent results, using either wool or foam pads. Off hand we can't think of any examples of work done with UP via rotary but assuming you're going to apply it at slow speed with a foam polishing pad odds are it will work just fine.

We don't make a recommendation for rotary use with these two products because they are consumer targeted products and consumers almost never have rotary buffers (or the experience and skill to use one). If we did mention rotary compatibility on the label it would actually create more confusion than help, given the target audience. But since UC and UP are derived from M105 and M205, respectively, odds are that both will work just fine via rotary. But, and here's the important part - if for some reason they do not live up to your expectations when used this way, just keep in mind that we never developed them for this application process.

      Hi Michael.
I've never tried uc with rotary b4, but I've had outstanding results with Up using my rotary. I did this on an Audi A4 black paint. It manage to removed swirl marks n refine my paint to a nice black gloss.
I used CG blue hex pads.

      Before ultimate Polish
You can see all the swirl marks

      This is after ultimate Polish

      Swirl marks are gone lol...

The only small issue I had was it dries up fast. Possible I overworked the product but after spraying some water it was fine.. Easy removal
