  • DA Microfiber Correction System

I'm going to add this to my collection. I was wondering do I need the finishing wax and pads or can I use any Meg's waxes to finish off after the cutting compound is used? If I can use another wax, what's best to use after?

The MF system 'wax' is actually a cleaner/wax, with some ability to remove any marring left from the first steps.

So you dont need it, and any wax could be used, or a wax on a foam pad... just that there may be some marring to clean up one way or another.

I'll do Ultimate Polish or another polish after the correction compound. Then top off with a wax. As long as that doesn't interfere with the process of the MF system.

That sounds fine. Although you may need something like M205 after the correction compound instead. UP may not be strong enough to clean up any marring from the previous step.

It's just a matter of seeing how your paint responds.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Not only will this not interfere with the MF system, we've actually recommended this process since Day 1 with it. A very common process is to correct defects using D300/DMC5 and then refine the surface with M205/W9207 foam finishing pad and then top with whatever LSP you like. Do those two steps and finish with Ultimate Wax paste and you'll be loving the result and the ease with which you achieved it.

Sweet I have M205 on my list of products to get. The full 5" correction kit as well. Does the 16 oz bottle last for a few cars or should I up it to the 32 oz? I don't do a lot of correction on cars right now, since I'm just learning the process and using my friends cars as guinea pigs, lol

16 oz will do many cars, after priming a pad, you will be using only 2-3 pea sized dots for your work area.
