  • how do you remove nxt wax overspray from black plastic

just waxed my truck and got some wax on the black plastic around the windshield and on the side mirror housing and the door handles. all black plastic. it left a white haze. detail spray and mf towel did not remove.

    suggestions?

gold class trim detailer got it right off my trim and left a nice oem shine without being glossy.

I have often run into the same problem. I use meguiars general purpose cleaner diluted 6 to 1. Then apply a dressing over the plastic. If you don't have this, you could try simple green diluted. Make sure you apply some kind of dressing when you are done. Gold class trim dressing works very well.

the best cleaner for trim I found to be #38, but as others have said make sure you follow with some sort of dressing like gold class trim detailer.

I could be totally wrong but I thought #38 was a dressing (Tire and Trim Dressing Gel).

#39 heavy duty vinyl cleaner works very well for this.

I just picked up some #40. Should I use #39 before the #40? (#40-- Vinyl/rubber cleaner and conditioner).

Yes, if you feel the surface needs to be cleaned first.
