    Plastidip Overspray on Windshield

    Hi! So one night I was bored and high off nyquil I decided to plastidip my brothers hood. I thought I had covered all the bases in terms of overspray, but it had a somehow gotten to windshield. Within the bottom 4 inches of my windshield had some spotty overspray of plastidip that I cannot take off. I've tried glass cleaners, bug/tar remover spray, and plain ol friction. Nothing seems to work! Any pointers? I can't take a picture because I can never get an angle where you can actually see the spottyness. Its very noticable when you're inside and the light hits it.

    Clay bar should do the trick.
    If you are EXTREMELY careful, and I stress EXTREMELY. Use some PB Plaster on the windshield. It should dissolve off. I cannot stress how careful you will need to be. Do this as a last resort. Try the claybar first, I think you will be surprised.

      Oh sorry! I forgot to add, I also tried claybar. It got little/to some off!

        I'm surprised you couldn't get it off. Isn't Plastidip supposed to be temporary anyway?

        If it's only on the windscreen, you could carefully try a razor blade..

          Sorry to ask, but can I use my DA polisher on the windshield to get rid of it? and if so. Which pads and what liquid?

          Oh! and can I use the same polishing pad I used for UP for like ColorX or M20. or different polishing pads for diff polish? Like during the polishing process, can I use the same pad with different products?
          What about if I had used the polishing pad for UP two weeks before? After two weeks, can i use a diff polish?

            As long as the pad is cleaned before each new application of product, you could use the same pad. I am surprised that a clay bar did not remove the plasti-dip.

              You can use Isopropyl alcohol to remove the Plasti-Dip on the windshield.

                    If you wet plasti dip it makes it harder to rub off. All you need is a dry microfiber towel or even a folded up paper towel. Do some rubbing and it should peel off.

                        Just use a razor blade. It will come off. I use a razor blade to get roofing over spray off of customers windshields because clay bar won't take it off.
