  • 1996 Pontiac Trans Am - Single or base/clear?

Anyone have an idea is a 1996 Pontiac Trans Am has single stage paint or is it a base/clear? I know I can test it when I get the car to see if I rub a towel into the pain and it comes off on the towel. Got this detail coming up April 27th!

    Thanks for any information.

Being it is fairly new, I would be very, very surprised if it was a single stage. My father has a 1995 and it has a clear coat, and I even had a 1992 Skylark that had a clearcoat.

Doesn't really affect things a lot anyway as far as products to use.

But single stage could be a little softer, or respond some more to polishing oils.
