  • New Black Wax & White Wax question

    Hi Mike,

I guess my question applies to both of the new waxes. Are the Black Wax & White Wax synthetic based like Ultimate wax & Nxt wax or are they Carnauba based waxes like #26 and Gold Class? Also, will they leave the chalky white residue on plastic trip parts?

    Thanks!

Both are more carnauba product than polymer product. NXT and Ultimate Wax are both 100% synthetic polymers that utilize hydrophobic polymers as part of their protection package. The new White and Black may contain some polymers but then again so do Gold Class, M26 and virtually all other carnauba waxes on the market. But those polymers are not hydrophobic and are there to enhance and modify the characteristics of the rest of the product.

If you get a bit sloppy and apply either of these to black plastic trim and allow it to dry fully, yes, it will stain the trim. But as with most such waxes, if you notice it immediately and wipe it off right away, staining can usually be avoided.

Super! Thanks Mike for the clarification. When will the new waxes be available?

Topping with UW for more durability is ok, correct?

                Hello,

Sorry but I hate your marketing choices offered, can you tell me what is the best wax that you sell ? I don't mind the price, I just want to avoid wasting my time choosing a product when it would be so easy to tell me directly what is the best to buy for a white German car...

                Thank you <3

Trying to define a wax as being "best for a white German car" is darn near impossible. While you can use, quite literally, any wax on any car and expect decent results, the real key is "what are you looking for" or "how do you define best"? Obviously on a white car you don't care one iota about the darkening effect of some waxes, but things like durability, protection, ease of application, cleaning ability, etc all still come into play. But which are most important to you? If your primary goals are durability and protection, then we highly recommend our Ultimate Wax. If it's cleaning you're after then White Wax is really hard to beat. It can and will restore the brilliant white color to older white and light colored vehicles that have suffered a bit over time. Don't expect it to transform a brand new white car as that vehicle won't yet have the needs of an older car.

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

a little question, please, for better look, on a polar silver car, white wax can be topped by UW or NXT, or it's good by itself? Can be white wax layered? thanks!

You can layer white wax, but you may have better longevity if you just polish with UP and finish with UW/NXT as opposed to using WW at all.

Sure you can top it with either of those products. Will it enhance the look? Well that is hard to say and is up to the individual if they notice it. Silver on it's own is not going to have that wow factor like black or red for example. You can even top it with ultimate quik wax or D156.

In terms of layering, are you referring to layering white wax with another layer of white wax? If you are then the only thing I can say is that white wax is a cleaner wax with SMAT abrasives. It will remove the previous layer or anything that was applied prior to it.

White wax on it's own will last a few months.
