    Getting ready for the winter.

It's that time again, for the daily driver to get detailed for the coming winter. She was pretty neglected this past summer, and one careless waterless wash left her paint looking less than stellar.
    Onward to pictures!

I didn't get a good shot of the whole car dirty, but it's rained pretty consistently the last 3 weeks, so you can imagine how she looked, although just the door sill, the whole car looked like this.

I have a heck of a time keeping the exhaust tip looking neat. This is half a summer of neglect.

The engine bay was kept neat, as is my interior, so I skipped shots of that, and by the time I was ready for a wash, it was getting to dark to capture the defects in the paint accurately, so I skipped that.

    Onward to the finished shots!

So deep, you could just dive right in!

The wash was done using Gold Class. I find it to lubricate the best, and I feel that it brings out the black. I'm sure it's just in my mind, but I love this soap.
After being dried, I clayed the entire car.
I hit the tinted taillights and headlights with Ultimate Compound, to bring out the shine!
Then I went over the entire car with SwirlX, followed by M205, and then used Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner.
First coat of wax was done with Gold Class caranuba, which I feel brings out the black better than any other.
Second coat was NXT 2.0, for durability.
I then used a sealant (Klasse) on the lights, and around the lower bits of the car to protect further from salt.
Tires were dressed with Gold Class High Shine.

    Thanks for looking!

Nice work and very nice car! I have to agree with GC shampoo, that stuff is slick.

Black Sand Pearl is such a great color when properly cleaned.
