BEST OF SHOW WINNER AT 2012 PEBBLE BEACH CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE ACHIEVES SHINING VICTORY WITH MEGUIAR’S

20 of 25 Best of Class Winners Once Again Choose Meguiar's Car Care Products

For more than 110 years, Meguiar's, the leader in surface care, has offered automotive hobbyists the finest products and accessories for attaining a smooth-as-glass surface and stunning show car shine. That legacy continues as once again, at the world-famous Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance held on August 19, 2012, the majority of the motor cars that were awarded “Best in Class,” as well as the top prize honor of “Best of Show,” awarded to Paul Andrew’s 1928 Mercedes-Benz 680S Saoutchik Torpedo, achieved their flawless appearances using Meguiar's car care products.

The 1928 Mercedes-Benz 680S Saoutchik Torpedo was recently restored to the exact specifications as it was when first built by Paul Russell and Company. The restoration included removing the light yellow paint in favor of the original German Chassis Grey color
and ensuring that every fastener, wire and staple were as close to exact as possible.

Achieving the prestigious “Best of Show” award is the pinnacle of the car show season and Andrew chose Meguiar’s products to help get the 680S there.

More than 200 of the world’s most flawlessly restored classic cars were subjected to the intense judging that sets the Pebble Beach Concours apart from all other car shows. After the awards ceremony, it was discovered that 20 of the 25 “Best in Class” winners that were able to be detailed had done so inside and out with Meguiar's products.

For the last 14 years, approximately 83 percent of vehicles that were judged “Best in Class,” have used Meguiar’s car care products to achieve a show-car shine.
