    Painting a plastic bumper cover

Question regarding an old '02 Grand Prix "grocery getter." Car isn't in the best shape and I have no intentions of bringing it into such condition, but the young lady who owns it would like a number of paint defects (like, missing paint) repaired on the front bumper cover. Probably the most appropriate route in that regard is a rattle can job with duplicolor (unless somebody can recommend a better yet not more expensive product) with a little duplicolor clear on top. My question is whether I need to use their adhesion promoter beneath the duplicolor rattle can since I'm painting on plastic?

Take a look at Krylon's "Fusion" line. It's made specific for plastics. I've used it a few times and have been very pleased with the results. I just followed the directions, no need for anything else (adhesion promoter, etc).

I guess say where I used it...the front lower fascia on full sized Chev PU. It WAS gray and went to black.

I realize these are old threads.
Can you do the same steps as a regular paint job with a rattle can paint & clear? Paint, sand, clear sand and buff?

You can do a search for spray paint or roll-on paint jobs here, or around the web. Some come out pretty good.
