By hand (yes, can be done but it won't be easy at all), start with a less aggressive cleaner/compound. SwirlX, have a couple of foam applicators and microfibers. Apply in circ. motions until it's almost gone, remove the rest with the microfiber, you m ay have to do this at least 2x, depending on how responsive the paint is. If it doesn't go away or if some of the swirls are a bit worse than first assumed, move up to Ultimate Compound. It will also work well with the oxidation. After careful inspection of your work, you can use Ultimate Polish to really finish of your car. It has oils that can add more depth and clarity, and mild cleaners that will refine the finish even more before applying wax, even on silver. However, you may want to try it on a small area before doing the entire car, since polish (pure or with mild cleaners) works best on dark paint.

Last step, Wax or Sealant. For max protection, Ultimate Wax, works best on dark paint, NXT 2.0 no longer the best, but has a proven track record, works better on light colored paint. Maintain it with either Gold Class Quick Detailer or Ultimate Quik detailer and Gold Class Quick wax or Ultimate Quik Wax. Both are good though, and on nicely washed, clayed, cleaned and polished car, it would be very difficult to see the difference between the 2.
