    Rotary back plate on DA?

In searching for a smaller back plate for my meguiars DA, i came across W63, a 3 inch bp for rotary use...
can this plate also be used with my DA? i would really like the ability to use 4" pads.
    thanks .

Rotary backing plates typically install with a 1/2" female thread while DA backing plates install with a 3/8" male thread. So the quick answer to your original question is no. Rotary backing plates are not interchangeable (out of the box) with your DA, but there are conversion kits that allow you to adapt a rotary backing plate to your DA.

The S3BP comes with the adapter kit so that you can attach to a DA polisher
