Re: #26 liquid wax vs. gold class carnauba plus... pros and cons?
Our S3BP backing plate will work with our 4" Soft Buff pads if you're looking to use smaller pads on the DA.
As for the choice between Gold Class and M26 - since both are carnauba waxes it's really going to come down to personal preference as to which one is best for you. Both apply and remove very easily and both dry very quickly. If you've got a dark colored vehicle you may see more darkening with the Gold Class.

unfortunatly living in canada , ads doesnt ship here.. so i rely on autogeek.. they do not carry the s3bp plate.
however they have the 4 inch soft buffs, so i will hunt for that plate.
Re: #26 liquid wax vs. gold class carnauba plus... pros and cons?
The effect of putting M26 or Gold Class Carnauba Plus may not be as big for protection, but for looks especially on dark or black paint it can help. Again, one may want to try a side by side comparison between a Gold Class/M26 coated sealant vs. sealant only. If the gains are small, it may not be worth the extra effort. But then, most of us enjoy trying out things, whether or not the gains are huge
I love both products. My preference with using #26, is after I've used a dedicated "glazing polish" (#7, DC2, UP). I've also found #26 to last longer. There's also been times I've applied #26 over GC. With GC, it seems like it covers the polishing and waxing in one step. I could be mistaken though!
Re: #26 liquid wax vs. gold class carnauba plus... pros and cons?
Gold Class Carnauba plus has a very small amount of cleaners (but not enough for it to be classified as a cleaner wax), polishing oils, and even some polymers to make it more durable, polishing it helps in giving more depth and to a certain extent, conceal swirls. So in a way, it covers polishing and protecting in 1 step.
M26 is a pure wax, similar to DC Carnauba wax. No polishing oils, so yes, #7, DC Pure Polish and Ultimate Polish is recommended and will help give that deeper wetter look.
Applying M26 over Gold Class may be a bit too much, but if it does work well for you, then go for it. I have limited but vivid experience with M26, goes on and removes easy and dries clear, no staining on trim, leaves a nice deep shine. Durability is quite good actually..
Re: #26 liquid wax vs. gold class carnauba plus... pros and cons?
In the 90`s, when I owned a number of Mercedes, always white cars [ without clear coats ], I used #7 show car glaze with #26 Yellow wax on top by hand. Now I`m not a detailer but everywhere I went people commented on the way the paint looked and everyone wanted to know what I waxed them with, they looked fantastic all the time. That combo doesn`t seem to work the same on clearcoats, at least it hasn`t for me but I don`t own a Mercedes any longer also.
