Ultimate Wax!!
Ultimate Waste (of my time).
Although the finish is deep and rich, I could not go through the hassle again.
This stuff will not dry. I keep going over and over it with the micro fibre cloth, but all I get is streaks and swirls.
What usually takes about 1 1/2 hours with Techwax, has now taken me over 4 hours and I still dont have it looking good.
I joined this site today just to vent my anger about Ultimate wax!
If you follow the instructions and give it 2 coats (recommended for hand work) and then wait till it dries to a haze, your day will be gone. If you wait an hour or two, you will spend the next 3 hours going over and over it trying to get an even finish.
I have never used such a complicated product.
Then I find on this site hints on how to stop streaking..... Maybe they should have been in the instructions. If only I had known to wipe it off after 3-5 minutes, or to put a mist of water on the cloth to help!

Very POOR Mr Meguiar.
Not up to the standard of all the other Meguire's products I use and love.

As per your other post:

Next time try the "one panel at a a time" method. i.e. wipe on and buff off 3-5 minutes later. That should solve your problem.

In the meantime, go back and try misting some water onto your MF to even the streaks out. That too should sort out your issue.

UW is a bit different to traditional waxes/sealants, but once you get used to it, the results are second-to-none!

Many people have had similar issues with the liquid version of UW since it seems it does require a different approach. If you'd rather save yourself that hassle and trial and error though, just try the paste version of UW. It works exactly like traditional waxes, dries to a haze, then buff it off. No streaks, no problems.

Great idea but Ultimate paste wax is not available in Australia.

If you have a friend visiting Indonesia or Bali, ask them to get it from Ace Hardware stores.

I buy most of my stuff online, but I'm pretty sure I've seen UPW at Supercheap Auto & Autobarn.

I have similar frustrations with my tin of Ultimate Paste Wax. I finally dialed in the right amount when applying it, but I don't exactly "trust" it being that I have to apply such a small amount I cannot tell if a spot has been applied or not. I will say that its durability is its strong point, I still prefer the look of Gold Class. Maybe I will top with Gold Class spray wax or something. I think I am going to try to mist the removal microfiber with quick detailer.
Thoughts?

I read from Amazon product review some comments about letting ULW dry for an hour then remove it without any streak. I haven't experiment it yet though.

I used ultimate liquid wax for the first time today after washing the (black) car. I have been using NXT 2.0. I did a 2X2 section on the hood and left it set while I did the wheels, about 1/2 hour. It made the black paint just pop. Had to finally do the whole care. A little goes a long way. I think it took a little more burring to get it off but I love the end result. Now we shall see how it holds up.
