what wax to finish off my show truck?

Ok I am not new to detailing at all. That being said I have neglected the heck out of my truck since sema last year and now it's time to get this thing back in shape. I clayed the truck and used uc to get out any of the little surface defects from sitting in the garage. What product would be best to seal this thing up good and that will be able to take some abuse. I use tech wax 2.0 for most of my quick details but I know there must be a better wax to use to seal this. I have a meguiars buffer with all the pads.

Hopefully u guys can lead me in the right direction. Thanks! Brad

NXT 2.0 is solid stuff, but the latest and greatest from Meguiar's would be the Ultimate Wax, available in liquid or paste. Click HERE for more info.

You should get a bit more longevity and also no longer have to deal with staining plastic trim.

Ult. Quick Wax would also be durable and look good after future washes. Though for a show, you may want to look at the Gold Class Spray Wax as well, it is supposed ot look very nice.

Thanks for the info. I have seen the ultimate wax but I havnt built up the courage to see if it's any good and possibly waste 20 bucks. But sounds like u guys are pretty happy with it. Thanks again

The liquid version applies a little differently, be sure to read up on it.

As was alluded to above...one GREAT thing about the liquid is that it doesn't stain 'trim'.

To be honest (in my opinion only), UW Liquid has a bit of learning curve. It MUST be applied THIN.

Paste can work, just need to spread it with something like a butter knife. Probably a little practice needed to get that right as well though.

Sounds to me like I should offer to wax a buddies car and see how it works on that first before I dive into my truck
