A very cool twist on rinseless washing, Garry.
If we can be so bold as to perhaps add a little something to it, we'd like to. Obviously the goal here is two fold - get the car clean, and do it without scratching or otherwise marring the paint. Well, add in the third aspect of using less water, which is a good thing too, of course. But the car you showed here wasn't all that dirty so your towel wasn't getting all that dirty either. On a really dirty car we would like to suggest that when you pull the wash towel out of the bucket, make one pass across the pre-soaked panel and then flip to a clean portion of the towel for a second pass, and again for each subsequent pass on that panel. Or lift the leading edge of the towel for each pass so as to keep that line of dirt away from the paint. Something like the technique we show for using Ultimate Wash & Wax Anywhere on a dirty car, as shown here:
Lift the leading edge of the towel as you move over the paint immediately next to your first swipe. This keeps the dirt you've just picked up away from the paint, allowing a clean portion of the towel to pick up the dirt in this path.
Two passes, two stripes of removed dirt.
With the towel rolled even further back, a third pass is made.....
.... and a third stripe of dirt is created. (the first one is on the part of the towel being held by the thumb here)
Obviously the dirtier the car the more care you need to use when washing. And certainly really heavy dirt will need to be hosed off first in extreme cases - like you've been off-roading in a 4x4. But this method of loading a bunch of towels in a bucket of a rinseless wash solution is very cool. With one of those gamma seal lids attached to a typical bucket anyone can transport enough material to clean several cars without need for a hose.
Garry, please understand that we say all this not as a criticism of your process, but for all the members of MOL who might be new to rinseless washing in general. We think this is a very slick idea and applaud you for your continued creativity!!
