Is anyone familiar with using Klasse products? It seems this product is more of a "cover up" than product that removes flaws? I am not knocking it, just wondering which is better for a 2 year old paint job vs a 10 year old. We have 4 vehicles that are in need of paint work!

Klasse can hide or remove light swirls, but usually some sealants can highlight swirls rather than conceal them.
Klasse is a 2 part system. The all-in-one is a cleaner sealant, it is a very good cleaner sealant. You use this after ideally after claying/correcting the paint, it can work wonders even on slightly oxidized paint. It can be applied on paint, glass, metal/chrome parts. Application is similar to tradidional wax, but being a cleaner sealant, it also has to be worked into the paint until most of it is gone. It does provide decent protection, it cleans brilliantly in my experience. even when applied to clayed/cleaned paint, you will still pick up a good amount of dirt. but for optimum results, it must be followed by the Sealant Glaze.
The sealant glaze is a pure acrylic sealant, must be applied very thin, even thinner than Meguiar's NXT 2.0 or Ultimate wax or it will be very difficult to remove the hazed product. Basically, if you feel you applied too much, you probably have. It gives an extremely reflective, bright shine and even adds a degree of depth to paint. If you plan to apply more than 1 coat of Sealant Glaze, wait 8-12 hours for optimum results.
It is ok for both 2 year old and 10 year old paint. For older paint, you may just end up using more of the step 1 Klasse all in one to remove more of the oxidation or any gunk on the paint. For newer paint, same thing. Apply all-in-one first, then sealant glaze. If you're not too happy with the gloss and crave for more depth, you can apply a cleaner free carnauba wax.
It is virtually identical to Carlack 68, which I have.

It is a very durable product, maybe not as durable as it claims. Maintenance is still needed to keep it looking and feeling slick.
Thanks for the info! A local detail shop recommended it and applied it to my truck. It looks great and is very shiny. There are a few light scratches that I want removed though. I will need a different approach for these, correct?
You may need to re-correct the panel/s with a a cleaner and re-do the entire all-in-one to sealant glaze process, since with any paint cleaner and compound you will also remove the protective layer. With the sealant glaze, I prefer using the shallow pile microfiber applicators vs. foam ones. The sealant glaze is quite thin and using foam applicators (well, in my experence anyway) makes it harder to spread a thin layer evenly. Apply it as thin as possible, let it dry to a haze for 15-30 mins. Some even leave it to haze longer than 1 hour depending on humidity and temp. to make it easier to remove. Some do a wax-on, wax-off technique, but I prefer to leave it on to haze just as the instructions say.
If for example you applied too thick a layer, you can spray/mist the hazed product with water and use 2 microfibers, one you will also spray with water until it's damp, the other to do the final wipe. That's what i usually do since i am also careless. I use the damp microfiber to remove the bulk of the sealant, use the 2nd one to wipe the area dry and reveal that shiny "klassed" look. Of course, carnauba wax is an option depending on the look you're after.
With water beading which most of us like to see on a well proctected paint, it will bead in the 1st few weeks, but will fall off after that. It's not really the strong point of klasse/carlack 68. It is a great product, but can be finicky to use and sometimes a bit limiting since you have to follow certain rules and procedures in application. Unlike certain brands (Ok, let's say meguiar's or mothers) that allow for different product combinations that can add more depth and concealing of swirls, like applying glaze or pure polish to add depth prior to wax application. Or different sealant/LSP combinations.
Klasse Sealant Glaze/Carlack 68 Long life sealant can be very tricky to use. You may find it frustrating at first, but don't lose hope. It is a great product, and when you get it right, you will love it. Just remember to use as little product as you can, you can spray your applicator with water or water with a small amount of quick detailer (1:1 m34) to dampen the applicator and allow for even thinner applications. I chose microfibers because it makes the application easier to control.
Just to add to what's been said, despite the product names, I've found the Klasse twins to do very little if any hiding of paint imperfections - in fact, the cleaning action provided by KAIO, and the clarity of KSG, tends to highlight swirls and scratches, not hide them. As mentioned, you'd need to use a different product (or set of products) to remove those light scratches, then have your protection product (whether it will be Klasse again or, perhaps, Meguiar's) re-applied.Originally Posted by 62veedub

To really maximize the shine of Klasse, you can use a paint cleaner (can be Ultimate compound or swirlX depending on the softness of paint or another brand), then do a Isopropyl wipedown (dilluted 1:1) to ensure better bonding. The residual oils from some paint cleaners may disrupt the bonding of Klasse, but Klasse All-in-one should take care of that. I've done UC and even Mothers Pre-wax cleaner prior to applying the carlack 68 with no issues.
That's one disadvantage of Klasse system. Some may like a wax or paint protection that hides swirls, however with the carlack 68, I've been able to hide some of the swirls. There are subtle differences between Carlack 68 and Klasse, maybe the cleaners in carlack are a bit different. I've done a side by side comparison between a portion where Carlack 68 Nano Systematic Care on a slightly swirled panel, and the before and after is noticeable. Could well be the product I used, but it was a bit surprising to me.
