New to detailing my black NSX

I have a Meguiars DA polisher V2, M105 compound ,M205 polish and Sealant 2.0.
I have a 91 Black NSX which I've owned for 21 years.
I recently detailed it starting with clay, then M205, then Sealant on the side panels and Zymol NSX wax on the trunk roof and hood.
Under direct sunlight or harsh flourescent light the surface has a hazy almost dappled look
plus swirl marks.
In the evening it looks perfect.

I could use some help on what to do next.

Should I now go to a finer polish than M205 to remove the swirls/hazing?
If so what is next in line from Meguiars?

Or should I redo the car with M205?

Any help is appreciated

Photos would help.

M205 is very mild, so chances are it didn't correct the defects you are referring to. Time to step it up - do you have any UC? If not, do a test spot with your M105 and then inspect under direct sunlight to see if it has yielded the results you're after. You may then need to finish up with M205 to clean up any marring left by the M105 and further refine the finish, then your favourite wax/sealant.

I had these bird pooh and water marks as well as swirl marks that can only be seen under bright light such as a service station at night. Ultimate compound did a fantastic job removing all the swirls, and water marks as well as bird **** marks.

I have three Meguiars pads, a burgundy cutting pad, a yellow polishing pad and a black finishing pad.
Would you suggest UC or M105 with a burgundy pad or a yellow pad?

Yes, UC is Ultimate Compound. It is similar to M105 but slightly less aggressive and far more user friendly on a DA. I recommend you try that, especially if you have limited experience with the DA. Also M105 will probably be a bit much in terms of cut, as opposed to UC.

Use the yellow finishing pad. Burgundy pads are not recommended for use on a DA (except for when you put a MF bonnet over them and use them to remove wax).

Your paint doesn't look too bad and I think you could easily make it look great. Just remember to do a trst spot first and then inspect in direct sunlight!

BTW - the NSX has very soft paint, ultimate compound might be too aggressive. My brother in law has a blue NSX and we used swirl X and this remove all the swirl marks.
