How I keep my car looking its best between washes

    Heyy all,

I wanted to share with you guys how I keep my car looking its best in between washes.

    The products I use are:
    -Last touch 1:1
    -NXT glass cleaner
    -Hot shine dressing
    - Supreme Shine MFs x 2 One for cleaning and the other for finishing
    - Armor all glass towels

(above picture was taken after surface was cleaned )

This is how dirty my car usually gets before I use this method. I wouldn’t try this if it were dirtier than this, to avoid swirls of course.

Too start , I fold my supreme shine MFs 3 times to get something like this

Doing this will give you 16 clean sides to work with.

Now to actually clean the car, I spray Last touch on one section at a time about the size of half a door panel. About as much as in the picture.

Next, I wipe horizontally across the surface. I only wipe each section once. I find that one swipe is all it takes to clean the grime off the paint.
Then, I take the second Supreme shine MF towel and gently buff away the residue and streaks left over from the Last touch.
I do the whole car ( including the door jambs) using this two MF towel technique, I then finish off by cleaning the glass , wiping down the wheels and dressing the tires if needed.

Here are some pictures of the results:

And here’s the cleaning Supreme Shine MF towel after, both sides are similar. I only needed one MF towel to clean because of the way i folded it , but use as many as you need.

Thanks for looking and feel free to post your techniques and tips !!

Is it a typo Last Touch 1:1? That is diluted ratio for clay lube. If not, wow!

Nope , no typo . I like using last touch cut 1:1 with distlled water. Still seemed to lubricated the surface really well while I was cleaning. I will eventually buy a bottle of UW&W anywhere to use instead.

    Thanks for sharing!

My process is very similar, although I'll use LT diluted more like 2 LT:1 H2O. And I'll use M135 (undiluted) every other time.

I like your idea of just doing one swipe with the initial towel. I have a habit of overdoing things, hence increasing the risk of creating swirls. I must try it...

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Doing just one wipe seemed to work very well , my second towel was complety clean after words; just moist with LT .

I've been using ONR (2 oz with 32 oz water) lately similar to how you're with LT 1:1, the lower parts of my cars I've been using UWWA.
I've also been using UQD in a similar way too....may have to try the LT 1:1 too.......I have too much stuff on hand!

I like LT 1:1 too. I like it better than using it straight. When used straight I get streaking, 1:1 is perfect. I would add some Megs UQW or D156 to your arsenal for maintenance too.
