    When Cleaning Someone's Interior...

Hey guys. I'm posting this from my phone so please excuse any formatting errors.

While detailing a car for a friend of a friend, I never have seen so many items on the floor of the interior. Tons of change, candy, recipets, even a couple socks among other card items.

I ended up putting all the change I pulled up from the floor in a zip lock bag and I set all the receipts, a pair of socks, and a few other advetisements/cards I picked up off the floor, on the backseat and when I dropped off the car I told her I set some stuff on the backseat because I had no idea what she wanted to do with it all. There is no way I can bring myself to just throw someone's stuff away without asking. That is why I just left everything in a neat pile so to speak, lol.

So what do you guys do if you come across a situation like this?

I have put personal belongings in a box and placed it on the passenger seat when finished with the job. Some people end up embarrassed at what was doscovered, some could care less.

Sometimes I tell them to clean it out, bc I don't wanna be responsible for the missing Mona Lisa. While your evaluating the car just ask the customer what they would like you to do items/junk found in the car.

Depending on how much stuff their is I either put it in small bags or garbage bags if the whole car is filled. I always separate everything out and throw away trash but keep any reciepts or other info in their car to make sure no one gets ahold of it. I usually do not empty out center consoles if they are filled with junk.
Even the best cars look like junk when they are not clean
