Nice! The difference is night and day, brought out the color, beauty and a lot more plus the clarity of the paint is brilliant. .. It's amazing what a little perseverance and determination can do, now the challenge is how to keep it looking that way. It's not easy, but it can be done. Now what wax did or will you apply on your car now that it looks brilliant and swirl free?
Thanks everyone, I'll post more photos later. As for preservation, I plan to switch over from Gold Class to Ultimate Wax and clay the car twice a year. I'll also polish the car with a non abrasive polish maybe every one or two months. For every wash, I'll continue to use Gold Class soap using the two bucket method with a grit guard. The only thing I'm not sure about is on what sponge to use and what kind of towel to dry that won't swirl the paint. The car will be garaged everyday with a car cover as well.![]()
Good to see you got good results!
I really love that Mazda colour as well.
As for what "sponge" to use - I would suggest a microfiber wash mitt and a good waffle weave mf towel to dry. Just go gentle if you want to avoid swirls.
Also, you may want to be careful with putting your car cover on/off the vehicle. Car covers can easily cause swirls if the car and the cover are not completely clean. You mentioned the car will be garaged - does it need a cover?
