  • Should I wet an appilcator pad before cleaning, waxing and polishing?

I'm just wondering if i should lube the applicator pad with Quick Detailer or something of that nature before putting on the product to be applied, to help prevent surface marring? If so, does the Quick Detailer hinder performance of the cleaner, wax, or polish that it being applied to the finish?

    - Thank You

With the Meguiar's line of products, there is never any need to pre-moisten a quality applicator pad with either water or a quick detailer.

When machine cleaning and polishing with a rotary buffer, if you're starting out with a new, clean dry buffing pad, you can if you want, mist some quick detailer like Quik Detailer, or M34 Final Inspection to moisten the pad before applying your choice of compound, paint cleaner, or cleaner/polish.
